Background

The Transportation & Mobility Plan (TMP) will provide a long‐term vision for the transportation network in unincorporated Jefferson County and serve as a guiding document for improvements to local and regional roadways as well as multimodal transportation networks that can be updated on a five‐ to seven‐year basis. The County’s goals for the TMP are to be more strategic with existing and future investments within the transportation network and to improve mobility and access through methods that are safe and convenient while minimizing vehicle congestion and associated impacts. The TMP will also recognize evolving technology and future trends in transportation systems and service delivery.

Next Steps for the TMP

We are currently anticipating a hearing before the Planning Commission for the Transportation and Mobility Plan in September. Please note that the Planning Commission is the final decision-maker on this advisory plan.
