Background

The Transportation & Mobility Plan (TMP) will provide a long‐term vision for the transportation network in unincorporated Jefferson County and serve as a guiding document for improvements to local and regional roadways as well as multimodal transportation networks that can be updated on a five‐ to seven‐year basis. The County’s goals for the TMP are to be more strategic with existing and future investments within the transportation network and to improve mobility and access through methods that are safe and convenient while minimizing vehicle congestion and associated impacts. The TMP will also recognize evolving technology and future trends in transportation systems and service delivery.

Public Hearing Information

The Transportation & Mobility Plan will be heard by the Planning Commission on Wednesday, September 24. Details are below. During this hearing the plan will be a presented and there will be an opportunity for public testimony before the Planning Commission decides on the Plan. The Planning Commission is the final decision maker on this Plan, so there will not be additional hearings if approved on the 24th.
