BACKGROUND

The Transportation & Mobility Plan (TMP) will provide a long‐term vision for the transportation network in unincorporated Jefferson County and serve as a guiding document for improvements to local and regional roadways as well as multimodal transportation networks that can be updated on a five‐ to seven‐year basis. The County’s goals for the TMP are to be more strategic with existing and future investments within the transportation network and to improve mobility and access through methods that are safe and convenient while minimizing vehicle congestion and associated impacts. The TMP will also recognize evolving technology and future trends in transportation systems and service delivery.

Since our last public outreach, which concluded at the end of February, a great deal has been happening behind the scenes. Staff and our consultant team have been diligently reviewing and addressing the public comments received on the partial draft of the Transportation & Mobility Plan.

We expect to release a full draft version of this plan for public review by late May or early June. Once it is available, it will be posted here. Public meetings will also be held where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more and provide additional feedback.
